No. Every hexagon can be claimed exactly once. After that, the only way to acquire it is to buy it from its owner on the resale market.

Price scales with the size of the hexagon. A tile at maximum zoom covers a single building; zoom out one level and that tile contains about seven smaller ones, so it costs roughly seven times as much. Premium areas such as dense city centres and landmarks carry a higher base price.

Yes. The map reads live Mapbox building and landmark data, so you can select a specific footprint and claim the hexagon it sits on. The landmarks directory lists real-world landmarks by country and shows which are still available.

Draw mode lets you drag a rectangle over the map and select up to 250 hexagons at once, then pay for the whole selection in a single checkout.

A title, description, image, a website or social link, and a colour theme. Anyone who clicks your tile on the map sees that card, and it also appears on your public collector profile.

Checkout happens inside the app by card. Your tile is registered the moment the payment is confirmed. Credits are an optional balance you can top up in advance to skip checkout on repeat claims.

Open any tile you own and list it at a price of your choosing. It appears in the marketplace immediately, and ownership transfers automatically when a buyer completes checkout. EarthGrid takes a small commission on resales.

No. EarthGrid uses ordinary card payments and a normal account — no wallet, no seed phrase, no blockchain steps.

Tile claims are final because ownership is exclusive and immediate. You can always relist a tile on the marketplace to recover value.
